The TechMach Balalaika is a weapon in IronClaw's Just Cause X: Global eXchange series.
Description[]
This rifle was developed during the days of the Cold War to serve as Soviet primary firearm for sniper teams. While obsolete in Russian military (URGA USZ77 are being used instead), it's still very common for every faction native to Nova Kyungastan. While it's primary users are the government's Military and OMON teams, it's also serves United Democratic Opposition. Even Russian Bratva still uses it for assassination missions.
Performance[]
It's one of two "starting" sniper rifles of the JCX, so the expectations should not be high. It's moderatly powerful, and has a good fire rate (for a sniper rifle that is), but it's useless against even lightly armored vehicles.

- It is made by TechMach Bureau.
- This rifle is based on the real life SVD.
- "Balalika" is a Russian musical instrument, but it's also a nickname for a Dragunov gun, hence the name.
